HUMAN RESOURCES ASSISTANTJob Description:The Human Resources Assistant works under the direction of the Accountant and provides a widevariety of clerical, secretarial, and administrative support services in matters pertaining to maintainingof employment records, recruitment and staffing processes, and safety of personnel. This positionrequires independent judgement and action and must maintain a high level of confidentiality inperformance of all duties.Responsibilities & Duties:ï‚· Assist with recruitment by scheduling interviews, conducting references and orientation, processingbackground checks and tracking processes.ï‚· Perform payroll functions, ensuring accurate payment of wages on a bi-weekly basis.ï‚· Track attendance and time off for all staff.ï‚· Distribute payroll checks.ï‚· Verify and process all employee deductions, including insurance and garnishments.ï‚· Maintains employee information by entering and updating employment and status change data inADP HR.ï‚· Maintains confidential department files to include personnel files, workers compensation,unemployment compensation, and benefit files.ï‚· Updates and maintain related files in SharePoint.ï‚· Overseeing HR events and meetings and coordination management-employee communications.ï‚· Ensures compliance with USCIS Form I-9 Employee Eligibility Verification; periodically audits Form I-9.ï‚· Reports, maintains, and monitors all workers compensation case files; follows up on open cases.ï‚· Monitor, review, and process all employee eligibility benefit plans , including enrollment,cancelation, and changes.ï‚· Liaise with employees, supervisors, managers, and co-workers in problem resolution.ï‚· Perform other duties as assigned.Qualifications:ï‚· Minimum associate degree, accounting certification, or 2+ years of equivalent experience isrequired.ï‚· Bilingual Spanish and Englishï‚· Proficient use of Microsoft products, web-based programs, and Adobe Acrobat.ï‚· Advanced knowledge of spreadsheet applications (MS Excel) is required.ï‚· A self-starter: ensure delegated tasks are completed with minimal supervision or follow up.Proactively communicate task and project updates to supervisor.ï‚· Coordinate workflow effectively, efficiently, and neatly with a high level of attention to detail as wellas superior organizational skills.ï‚· Excellent analytical skills are an integral component in carrying out required duties andresponsibilities associated with this position.ï‚· Team player with good work pensation and Benefits:Compensation is salary, Paid Vacation, Paid Sick TimeDelightful Quality Produce Company is an equal opportunity employer.
