CLA has an immediate need for an experienced real estate attorney for a well-established law firm located in Myrtle Beach, SC. The ideal candidate will have experience closing residential real estate transactions and open to practicing business law. This is a great opportunity to grow your practice areas at a small boutique law firm. Example Job Responsibilities:Oversee all residential real estate transactions in the officeReview titles and other documents to ensure accuracy and compliance with legal requirementsWork with lenders, agents, brokers, buyers, and sellers to facilitate real estate transactionsWork with paralegals and staff throughout the pre-closing process to ensure that closings occur smoothly and as quickly as possibleExplain terms and documents to borrowersclients in a professional and courteous mannerOversee or conduct title certification, closings, record documents, and disbursement of fundsStrong likelihood of expansion into business law areas including drafting lease contracts, purchase and sale agreements, forming entities, obtaining licensing for restaurants in area, and moreProvide legal advice and counsel to clients on real estate mattersMay have additional general practice duties as assigned by the managing attorneyMinimum and Additional Qualifications:A JD from an accredited law school and a member of the SC Bar in good standingAn understanding of residential real estate transactions and all aspects of the title review and curative processThis position is in office, and the candidate must possess a high degree of autonomy and the ability to work independentlyAttention to detail and strong organizational skillsGrowth-minded, with a capacity for business developmentSome travel may be necessary for closingsAll resumes are held in strict confidence.Salary will depend on experience.
