Law ClerkThe Children's Legal Center (CLC) is a nonprofit organization dedicated to providing free immigration legal services to children and their families across Illinois and Indiana who have experienced victimization. CLC has well-established partnerships with domestic violence service centers in Illinois and directly represents clients in removal proceedings before the Immigration Court. Position DescriptionCLC is seeking a Full-Time Law Clerk to join our team. This position is within Children's Legal Center's Vera Program. Under this program the Law Clerk would meet with Unaccompanied Minors released from ORR custody and directly assist staff attorneys with the following duties: interpreting for client calls and meetings, translating documents, compiling applications, assisting with court hearings, filing with the Immigration Court, scheduling appointments, reviewing forms with clients, and conducting intakes. Position Requirements-    Fluent in Spanish and English-    Familiar with trauma-informed practices-    Must be detail oriented and have excellent organization and communication skills-    Must be passionate about working with childrenCompensationThis is a paid position with a starting salary of $35,000-$40,000 per year.
