If you are passionate about compliance and looking to grow in a mentoring culture, then this job is for you!JOB DUTIES· Identify functions and business practices requiring compliance and regulatory activities and assist the Director of ComplianceCompliance Counsel in developing a compliance strategy and implementing same.· Continually monitor and improve internal compliance and regulatory functions and complete legalcompliance research to ensure that the organizations are compliant with applicable state and federal law, as well as lender-based requirements.· Identify and document changes in laws and governmental policies and assist in evaluating, developing, and implementing a compliance plan and all documentation and filings as necessary.· Actively involved in daily operations of the Compliance Department to meet deadlines, including but not limited to licensing, renewals, form filings, form approvals, and resolve issues that may arise.· Actively involved in keeping up-to-date with respect to legislative changes, including completing legalcompliance research, and reporting to the Director as to how same may impact company's line of business in the automotive Finance & Insurance industry, with an eye toward identifying business process gaps, weaknesses, andor deficiencies needing correction.· Manage databases and spreadsheets holding quantities of information relative to the organization's operations in the United States as well as those developing in Canada and Mexico.· Contract draftingediting, at the direction of and with a review of same completed by the Director of ComplianceCompliance Counsel.· Form and application filings with states and lenders.· Maintain and protect confidentiality with regards to all aspects of client and company information.· Ability to multi-task, prioritize, and manage time effectively in a teamwork environment.· Ability to work methodically and meet deadlines.· Other duties will be at the discretion of management.REQUIREMENTSPosition requires discretion, independent judgment, and critical thinking skills.Strong communication skills required to effectively gather relevant information and interact with others, both inside and outside the company.Strong writing and analytical skills required.Strong organizational, project management, and multitasking skills to manage multiple matters, set own work priorities and meet required work deadlines.Identify and resolve routine issues in area of responsibility.Familiar with research and other database tools preferred: Westlaw, Pacer, SERFF.Flexibility to take on special projects andor additional responsibilities as needed.EXPERIENCEMinimum 4 years of compliance experience in a firm or corporate setting.
