About the jobAs a Group Copy Supervisor (GCS) you are responsible for the creative work produced by the Copy Supervisors and other personnel assigned to you. You will also contribute to their performance reviews, along with the Associate Creative Director (andor Strategic Communications). Additionally, as a GCS, you are responsible for writing primary sales pieces, secondary "pick-up" pieces, and all other copy for jobs pertaining to your assigned account(s). You will participate in creative team concept sessions, help reference, and highlight copy, and attend all relevant internal product-related and creative meetings. You will also attend external client meetings and demonstrate leadership in new business and client presentations.About the JobMaster a knowledge of your assigned brand(s) including the disease state, market, marketingadvertising strategy and tactical planCreate effective and impactful creative copy that is strategically on targetBecome familiar with therapeutic markets pertaining to your assigned brand(s) by reviewing journals, competitive ads, and article summariesParticipate fully in the strategic component of the development of creative briefs and job opening meetingsMotivate and foster a team atmosphere striving for excellenceFollow copy through agencyclient process - review from original concept to finished pieceUnderstand the objective (clientaccount team rationale) for the tactical elements that they will be writingServe as a resource for the account team in solving creative problemsServe as a resource for product information and its therapeutic areaPresent, or supervise the presentation of, creative to the clientMonitor the workload of your assigned groupcopywriters and inform the ACD of any recommended adjustments or remedies for workload distributionDevelop and maintain positive working relationships with internal agency members and client counterpartsEnsure accuracy and timelines of work in order to meet client expectationsLead and adhere to client regulatory and approval process and prepare copy accordinglyFollow federal regulatory and legal guidelines for pharmaceutical promotional copyRemain flexible and focused in an environment of changing circumstancesAbout YouCompleted Bachelor's DegreeMinimum 5 years of copywriting experienceIdeally minimum 3 years of pharmaceutical copywriting experience in the managed markets spaceSuperior verbal and written communication skills, clear and conciseSkilled at presenting, both to client and agency personnelAble to discuss and defend creative concepts to the brand creative teamThorough understanding of current advertising strategies in the managed markets spacePossess a working knowledge of FDA guidelines and processesAble to convert scientific market research information into compelling copySolutions oriented, skilled at recognizing problems and providing solutions in day-to-day creative developmentDependable and efficient, must complete assigned projects in a timely mannerAble to manage competing priorities while maintaining a professional demeanorPossess an understanding that one's actions affects others and the agency as a whole and act accordinglyAt McCann Health Managed Markets, all we think about, write about, draw about, wonder about, or worry about is managed markets.
