Job Description:

Essential Functions:Read and interpret project plans, specifications, and industry standards.Monitor construction for compliance with project documents.Prepare daily inspection reports.Measure, calculate, and document quantities of installed materials in accordance with clientpolicies and procedures.Experience and knowledge in inspecting and monitoring all aspects of heavy civil and structuralsteel construction work to ensure conformance with contract documents and all applicablecodes and standards.Demonstrated ability to detect deficiencies or defects and be able to identify or provide input onremedial actions that are required to repair the track.Prepare and submit standardized reports of on-site activities and daily progress to the ResidentEngineer.Witness, understand, and verify that all required on-site testing is being performed inaccordance with applicable standards.Prepare Non-Conformance Reports per construction inspection and monitor and log correctiveaction.Provide technical assistance as required by Resident EngineerPerform additional responsibilities as required by business needs.Secondary Functions:Strong Professional, Technical, Communication, and Leadership skills needed.Strong written and verbal communications skills.Ability to create and maintain productive relationships with employees, clients, and vendors.Exercise responsible and ethical decision-making regarding company funds, resources, and conduct, and adhere to Arora's Code of Conduct and related policies and procedures.Needed Skills:Excellent construction inspection principles, field inspection practices, process, methods, andtechniques.Knowledge of relevant construction codes, regulations, compliance practices, and record-keeping petent interpersonal and communication skills when interacting with others, expressingideas effectively and professionally to a technical and non-technical petent self-leadership with attention to detail, multi-tasking, and prioritization ofresponsibilities in a dynamic work environment.Ability to work independently with minimal supervision, as well as part of a team to meetbusiness objectives.Analytical mindset to exercise sound judgement in evaluating situations and making decisions.Proficiency with technical writing, office automation, software, spreadsheets, technology, andtools.Capable critical thinking and problem-solving skills required to apply technical knowledge toreach conclusions from inspection and testing results, data collation, load calculations,statistical analysis and arriving at the most effective, economical, and logical solution.Ability to provide input and feedback to others in the field such as subcontractors and workcolleagues to consistently complete tasks safely, efficiently, and accurately according tospecifications.Proven track record of upholding workplace safety and ability to abide by Arora's health, safetyand drugalcohol and harassment policies.EducationExperience Minimum:Minimum of eight years construction management andor craft supervision experience insimilar facility construction.Preferred experience: airport terminal buildings, airport terminal facilities and systems at amedium andor large air carrier airport.Required experience: Airport baggage handling systems.OSHA 30-hour trainingPreferred Experience:Associate degree in engineering or engineering technology.Experience with Automated Material Handling Systems.Specialized experience in energy protection procedures and energized workExperience with industrial maintenance or manufacturing, especially with material conveyingsystems.Equipment, Physical Activity, Physical, Visual Acuity Requirements: See attached ADAJob Requirement Supplemental Checklist
