We're hiring asuperintendentto lead one-of-a-kind, high-end residential projects. This position offers an opportunity to lead teams that are dedicated to the highest levels of quality and craftsmanship.WHAT YOU'LL DOAs superintendent, you'll be the on-site construction manager, in charge of building one-of-a-kind architecture. You'll be responsible for:Ensuring work is performed safely, in accordance with plans and specifications, and in compliance with local building codesDaily constructability problem-solvingOnsite quality control throughout project lifecyclePartnering with the project manager to develop and manage the project schedule in MS Project; contributing to estimate creation in preconstruction phaseMaintaining plans, specifications, as-builts, and other necessary documentationManaging subcontractors and all related elements (i.e., scheduling, evaluating work performed, safety compliance, submittal review, shop drawings, RFIs)Managing entire field crew and maximizing supplier relationships, keeping communication open and professionalDaily walk-throughs and job log of all required information (i.e., personnel, owner visits, inspectors, architects, hazard identification and abatement, weather, near misses)Professionally representing Dowbuilt with clients, architects, owner's reps, project managers, subcontractors, management, field staff, and neighborsHOA representativesCoordinating material deliveries, handling, storage, and placement (with foreman support)Training and directing field crew and conducting performance evaluationsMaintaining job site security (i.e., ensure safety of all people, tools, and materials)WHAT YOU NEED TO SUCCEEDTo be successful as a Dowbuilt superintendent, you'll need:15 years of superintendent experience, 5 years high-end, custom residentialExperience working through design details and constructability challenges directly with architects and designers to achieve design intentDegree in Construction Management or related field OR equivalent professional experienceAbility to read and interpret architectural drawings and specificationsJourneyman-level carpentry skillsExcellent communication, team-building and mentoring skillsDeep technical building knowledge and experience with both traditional and new materials and methodsProficiency in Microsoft Excel, Word, ProjectExperience with Sage 300 CRE is a plus, but not requiredU.S. work authorizationWHAT WE OFFERWe are a fun, easygoing bunch of professionals who take a lot of pride in the work we do.
