Project ManagerEstimator GPI Construction is a rapidly growing 48+ year old General ContractingConstruction Management firm located in Brattleboro Vermont, we are seeking a qualified Project Manager and Estimator. Most of our sales volume is commercial and from repeat clients, our geographic coverage area is approximately a 60-mile radius of Brattleboro, VT.We perform a mix of PublicPrivate construction management and hard bid projects with a focus on commercial construction and renovation. Our projects range from small renovations to projects up to $6 Million.ResponsibilitiesPerform plan reviewsReview proposal specifications, drawings, attend pre-bid meeting, etc. to determine scope of work and required contents of estimateWrite Scopes of Work and Prepare Subcontract AgreementTaking lead with Estimating, Budgeting and Bidding of projectsReviewing RFP, Project specifications and drawings to determine scope of work and required contents of estimatePreparing estimates by calculating complete take-off of scope of workPreparing requests for subcontractor quotations and analysis of subcontractor quotesPreparing conceptual estimates from preliminary design documentsProviding assistance to field operations with Change Order estimates and pricingProviding assistance with pre-construction activitiesPlanning, execution and close-out of construction projectsCommunicate effectively with other key staff, contractors and subcontractors.Processing submittals and RFI'municate effectively with Owner, coordinate meetings, and prepare mtg. minutesDraft meeting agendas for all preconstruction meetingsEstablish and maintain relationships with clients and subcontractorsEnsure that all work is planning consistently with the contract documents and will meet or exceed client expectationsAttend periodic meetings including owner meetings, subcontractor meetings, etc.Estimate and execute small projects and service callsIdeal candidate will have:Minimum of 10 years of commercial construction experience2- or 4-year degree in engineering or construction management a plusAbility to multi-task on a high levelGeneral knowledge of all aspects of constructionPossess judgement to negotiate the critical balance between budget and the construction processHave excellent problem-solving skills to manage details necessary for a successful projectHigh attention to detail and qualityAbility to read architectural & MEP prints and perform quantity take-offsExcellent written verbal and communication skillsProficiency in Microsoft office products including MS projectExcellent written and verbal communication skillsAbility to handle a variety of duties with minimal supervisionProficiency with SageTimberline, Planswift and Procore a plusCompensationBenefits:Salary - $95K - $130K commensurate with experience and abilitySimple IRA w company matchBonusProfit sharing based on company performancePaid vacationssick daysDisability & health insurance availableCompany Vehicle or Vehicle allowance
