Implements, and maintains system architectures designed by Sr. Systems Engineers. Familiar with a variety of the field's concepts, practices, and procedures. Implementation and maintenance of various server architectures and deployments. Relies on experience and judgment to accomplish technical goals. Performs a variety of administration tasks. A wide degree of creativity and latitude is expected.RESPONSIBILITIES Monitor the performance and characteristics of Client Systems, Server Systems, remote access and authentication services so as to improve efficiency and effectiveness in the enterprise.Responsible for identifying, addressing and resolving chronic client problems.Respond to the needs and questions of users with respect to general technical support, access, resources, and security.Administer systems that control user access to the network and systems.Setup and maintain servers including OS and software installations and updates.Setup and maintain system infrastructure.Develop and maintain documentation, SOPs.Participates in the implementation and maintenance of systems that are scalable.Promotes and applies principles of Lean Six Sigma (LSS) for continuous process improvement, reducing waste and variability, and enhancing overall customer satisfaction.Demonstrates and utilizes creative and effective problem solving skills.Troubleshoot problems as they arise.Collaborates with other team members as needed.Assists Sr. Systems Engineer with questions and problems promptly.Keeps management informed of area activities and of any significant problems.Maintains and projects the company's professional reputation.Works closely with the Senior Network Engineer and Senior Storage Engineer with little assistance needed with maintaining systems.Performs other duties comparable to the above and as otherwise may be assigned to achieve departmental and company objectives.QUALIFICATIONS & SKILLSMinimum of 8 years' systems, networking and storage experienceExperience in system administration fundamentals, system support, troubleshooting, system design and architecture.Working knowledge of LANWAN, IP Networks, TCPIP, and VPN technologyProficiency with PC hardware, standard software and specialized applicationsWorking knowledge of MS Windows, LINUXWorking knowledge of SAN storageExcellent oral and written communication skills with ability to explain technical situations, present information and provide training.Ability to organize and manage multiple tasks and priorities in dynamic environment.Strong team playerAbility to manage resources and time effectively.Strong attention to detailAbility to maintain confidentiality.Ensures that work area is clean, secure, and well maintained.
