Job Description:

Our Client a Global bank with more than 50 Billion AUM is looking to add to their expanding team! Location: Downtown Schedule: Hybrid - 3 days in officeResponsibilities:Collaborate closely with the Financial Control Director, Associate Director, and Regulatory Reporting Control Manager on various assignments and projects, ensuring alignment with regulatory standards and company objectives.Manage and document regulatory reporting controls across the organization, maintaining a comprehensive risk and control matrix, flowcharts, and automated controls within various process areas.Support the development, execution, and reporting of a quality assurance testing program for regulatory reports such as the Call Report and FR Y-9Cm, ensuring accuracy and compliance.Utilize control system software (Workiva) to maintain well-organized testing work papers, facilitating efficient review processes.Provide guidance, training, and mentorship to staff to enhance their understanding of regulatory reporting risks and ensure adherence to requirements and objectives.Identify, document, and present control deficiencies, contributing to the development of mitigation strategies and impact analyses.Foster and maintain relationships with process and control owners, management, auditors, and regulators through regular and effective communication.Qualifications:Possess strong organizational, communication, and interpersonal skills, enabling effective collaboration with stakeholders at all levels.Demonstrated exceptional organizational and time management abilities.Proficiency in problem-solving involving complex, non-standardized situations, with the capability to define problems, collect data, and draw valid conclusions.Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, or a relevant field required.Minimum of two years of experience in Internal Controls, Internal Audit, or public accounting required; experience in financial services industries andor regulatory reporting preferred.Professional certification such as Certified Internal Auditor (CIA) or Certified Public Accountant (CPA), or progress towards obtaining one, is advantageous.Working knowledge of internal control analyses, risk assessment methodologies, COSO framework, Institute of Internal Auditor (IIA) standards, and FRB reporting requirements.As a Financial Services market specialist, I head up our Accounting & Finance division here at Hamlyn Williams and specialize directly in placing executive roles within the space.
