The agency has been serving adults with intellectual disabilities for over 40 years and sets the gold standard for service provision in the area of disability services.Role DescriptionThis is a full-time, on-site role located in Cedar Rapids, IA. The Community Living Coordinator will manage three residential settings for adults with developmental disabilities and be responsible for overseeing 15-20 Direct Support Professionals (DSPs) to ensure that individuals receive the support they need. The Community Living Coordinator will also work with interdisciplinary teams to facilitate treatment and help individuals with disabilities to achieve goals related to independent living, employment, social experiences, and community participation.QualificationsA bachelor's degree in a related field such as social work, psychology, health or human services (preferred), or equivalent years of experienceExperience in the developmental disabilities field andor supervisory experience (strongly preferred)Ability to work with individuals with developmental disabilities and their families in a supportive and professional mannerStrong communication and organization skillsAbility to work collaboratively with interdisciplinary teams to achieve identified goalsDesire to lead and coach employeesCurrent driver's license and reliable transportationAvailability to work evenings, weekends, and overnight shifts as needed
