In this role, you will play a key role in designing, developing, and documenting electrical systems for a variety of residential, commercial, hospitality, and institutional projects. This position will require a personable candidate with experience in all aspects of the electrical design process, including planning, design modeling, specification, project management, and construction support. A solid understanding of solar photovoltaic and energy storage systems is preferred, but not required. We are willing to train and educate the right individual who demonstrates a willingness to learn and grow in a team environment. The ideal candidate should have strong interpersonal skills and will be expected to carry the following responsibilities:Design, develop, and document electrical systems for commercial, residential, hospitality, and institutional projects using Autodesk Revit software. Candidate should have experience with the following:Low voltage power distribution. Experience with medium voltage power distribution is a plus.Standby and emergency power systemsAdvanced energy systems including solar PV, battery storage, and energy management technology.Electrical grounding, branch circuit and feeder calculations, equipment specificationsDesign of lighting (including controls) systems and fire alarm systems. Experience with low-voltage systems is a plus.Collaborate with architects and other engineering consultants to integrate electrical systems with the architectural design and other building systems.Stay up-to-date on the latest advancements in electrical technologies and sustainable design practices.Participate in project meetings and provide technical expertise to the team.May participate in site visits during construction for troubleshooting and coordination. QUALIFICATIONSLicensed Professional Engineer.
