Job Description:

We are working with a national dairy manufacturer seeking a Production Manager in their Norfolk, NE facility. This person will be responsible for overseeing all aspects of production during the night shift working on a rotating schedule. This individual will ensure that production targets are met efficiently while maintaining strict adherence to quality and safety standards. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in dairy production and management, with the ability to lead a team effectively in a fast-paced environment.Key Responsibilities:Supervise and coordinate all production activities during the night shift, including milk processing, packaging, and sanitation procedures.Monitor production schedules and adjust staffing levels and workflow as needed to meet production targets and deadlines.Ensure compliance with all safety regulations and company policies to maintain a safe working environment for all employees.Conduct regular inspections of equipment and machinery to identify and address any maintenance or repair needs promptly.Train and develop production staff to ensure proficiency in operating equipment and following standard operating procedures.Collaborate with other departments, such as quality assurance and maintenance, to address any issues or concerns that may arise during production.Maintain accurate production records and reports to track productivity, efficiency, and quality metrics.Implement continuous improvement initiatives to optimize production processes and reduce waste.Assist with inventory management and control to ensure adequate supplies are available for municate effectively with management and other team members to provide updates on production status, issues, and potential solutions.Qualifications:Bachelor's degree in Dairy Science, Food Science, or a related field preferred.Strong knowledge of dairy processing techniques, equipment, and sanitation practices.Excellent leadership and interpersonal skills, with the ability to motivate and engage team members.Proven ability to problem-solve and make decisions in a fast-paced environment.Knowledge of safety regulations and best practices in food manufacturing.Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and production management software.Willingness to work night shifts and weekends as needed.
