***Safety Manager***COGS has partnered with a rapidly growing, multi billion dollar revenue food manufacturing company who are looking for a Safety Manager to join their team. Due to increased market demand, they are in growth mode and expanding! This has led to increased opportunities for career trajectory and hence they are looking for a Safety Manager to take ownership for the development, implementation, management, and continuous improvement of their Safety programs and performance.The salary for this position is up to 100K + 10% Bonus based on-site in Chicago, IL.Responsibilities:Lead and develop safety associates to enhance their skills and knowledge in safety practices.Serve as a key resource for the organization, overseeing safety, workers' compensation, and employee training matters.Develop and implement safety plans, policies, and programs to ensure a safe working environment.Evaluate all production positions to create detailed Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) for each role.Perform daily inspections in production areas to ensure employees are wearing proper PPE and following GMPs.Manage accident reports, ensuring accurate records are filed promptly and develop strategies to prevent future incidents.Maintain OSHA logs and other regulatory documentation.Act as the primary contact for work-related injuries and related inquiries.Qualifications:Bachelor's degree in safety, environmental, or related field, or equivalent experience (preferred)2 years' experience of Safety experienceOSHA Certification is a plusAbility to speak Spanish is a plusThis opportunity can offer you:Huge opportunities for career progressionCompetitive 401K, health, dental & vision schemesHugely impactful role with a mandate to drive changeWork cross-functionally in a well-cultured and growing company
