Electrician and Plumber - Trainee and AssistantStart the next phase of your construction career with Essel today!We are looking to add hard-working and reliable Electricians and Plumbers to our team.You will participate in a variety of construction projects throughout the Bay Area, from Oakland to San Jose**Many of our best performers earn opportunities to work on bigger projects with more pay!**Ideal opportunity for a mid-level Trainee or Apprentice looking to gain additional experience working as part of a teamPlumber Tech:DutiesResponsibilitiesPerform plumbing duties in connection with a wide variety of building alterations, maintenance and repair projectsInstall, alter, replace, and repair plumbing projects as required such as water, sewage, and drainage systemsCut, bend, assemble, and install various pipes, fittings, and fixtures for water, sanitary, drainage, heating, gas, and other plumbing systems which involve the performance of hand, bench, and maintenance plumbing tasksInstall, alter, repair, or replace all plumbing fixturesThread, ream, assemble, caulk, solder, and weld various pipes and component partsInstall, alter, and repair valves, fittings, and other plumbing parts and equipment, including such items as hot water boilers, sterilizers, steam tables, sinks, thermal control apparatus, sprinkler heads, hydrants, and service pipesRepair and install new waterdrainage lines and wastesewage pipesCheck plumbing fixtures for leaks and other defects, opening and cleaning clogged drains, pipes, and trapsAdvise on selecting, ordering, and storing plumbing supplies and equipmentElectrical Tech:DutiesResponsibilities:Installs and repairs electrical wiring, systems, and fixtures in buildingsInstalls conduits and pipes to house electrical wires and cablesEnsures piping complies with electrical codesTrouble shutting for diagnose repairsInstalls circuit breakers and other electrical hardware and connects wiring to themConnects electrical systems to powerlines to provide electricity to the buildingTests electrical systems to ensure proper installation and operationInspects electrical systems to determine whether repairs are neededReplaces conduit and wiring as neededReplaces circuit breakers as neededPerforms other related duties as assignedVerify compliance and functionality of installationsMaintain workflow schedule to ensure productivity objectives are metCoordinate with other trades on siteResponsible for keeping and maintaining a clean workspaceEnsure that safety is paramount on all job sites Required SkillsAbilities:Ability to read blueprintsExtensive knowledge of electrical systems and wiringAbility to use hand tools and power toolsProficient in the use of test meters and other diagnostic equipmentExcellent analytical and problem-solving skillsRequirementsReliable form of transportations
