Location: Dyersburg, TNSchedule: M-F, 2- or 3-day shifts (8 a.m.-5 p.m.), 2- or 3-night shifts (12-9 p.m.)Department: Human ResourcesReports To: Occupational Trainer ManagerYou consider it a good day at work if you are able to help someone. As a Dot occupational health trainer, you'll impact the lives of warehouse workers, drivers, and other personnel across our locations.WHAT YOU'LL DOConducts injury management consultations on current employees.Attends work-related doctor visits with the employees to assist with appropriate treatment plan.Facilitate the action plan for injury severity reduction at the facility.Performs physical ability testing on post job-offer applicants.Establishes and maintains professional relationships with local physicians.Provides injury prevention activities such as functional movement testing, safe lifting observations and employee education through 1-1 interaction and driver safety meetings.Supports wellness and safety initiatives at the facility.Responds to after hour calls for assistance with employee injuries.Applies lean thinking and tools to identify and eliminate waste in all areas of the position.YOU MUST HAVE Bachelor's degree in athletic training, exercise science, or kinesiologyAbility to resolve complex problems and make independent decisionsStrong analytical and organizational skillsSolid knowledge of Microsoft Outlook, Excel, PowerPoint, Access, and WordYOU MAY ALSO HAVE Ability to interact well with employees in multiple work areas and locationsStrong motivation for personal learningROLE SPECIFICS Work weekend hours in rare instances.Occasional overnight travel (3-5 times per year) to company locations or to attend seminars and meetings to develop professional expertise.
