We Own It!With minimal supervision, performs a variety of scheduling duties associated with the development of summary and detailed schedules through project document review and interaction with staff and experienced personnel.Responsibilities:Maintains knowledge of the projectprogram and its requirementsWith minimal oversight, develops project schedules using documents and blueprints for review by experienced personnelObtains and reviews proposal schedules by subcontractors and vendors to ensure alignment with project schedule durations and workflowAssumes overall responsibility for assigned project schedulesProvides schedules in support of contracts or bid documents to subcontractors and suppliersAttends scheduling meetings with project staff and subcontractors as Austin's scheduling professionalWorks with subcontractors and suppliers to establish timely deliveries of equipment and materialsDevelops and incorporates procurement tasks into overall project schedulesWorks with project staff, subcontractors, and suppliers to identify opportunities for schedule enhancement or recoveryDevelops impact schedules and analysis when required due to change orders or change in scopeAssists project team in documenting and reporting to the Owner or responsible partyAssists project team by analyzing the schedule and looking for ways to minimize the impact to the projectAssists in maintaining historical schedule data for Austin projectsReports project schedule status to project team and appropriate Austin executivesRequirements:BSBA in engineering, construction science, architecture, or relevant discipline preferred, or equivalent combination of education and experienceGenerally requires three to five years of scheduling experience"”some field experience preferredThis can either be through a Scheduler, Project Manager or Superintendent roleKnowledge of construction materials, means, and methodsKnowledge of building systems, materials, and logical sequence of constructionStrong logical and critical thinking mindsetProficient in relevant scheduling techniques and softwareGood communication and presentation skillsThorough and reliableStrong organizational skillsBenefits & Compensation We offer excellent benefits including medical, dental, life and disability insurance, and a matching 401K plan.
