GENERAL PURPOSEThe Sales Representative's key responsibilities include developing new prospects and interacting with existing customers to increase sales by offering various packaging solutions. This position is a field sales position that requires interfacing with the management group, as well as working closely with Piedmont National Customer Service team.ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES This job description reflects management's assignment of essential functions; it does not prescribe or restrict the tasks that may be assigned and are subject to change at any time due to reasonable accommodation or other reasons.· Seek to bring in new business that will increase customer base and salesprofit· Establish new contacts by taking an active role and exhibiting a passion for networking events, committees, and otherwise representing PNC in the community· Strategically approach each new and existing customer to understand pain points and determine how PNC can strategically add value with innovative packaging solutions· Perform validation of new customers and provide key internal stakeholders with pertinent decision-making informationDevelop a business plan for each account in addition to identify, solicit, develop, and secure new packaging opportunities within the territoryGrow market share, product margin and book of business within assigned territoryCoordinate use of other company resources (e.g. customer service, credit, warehouse, etc.) to provide value added services to accountsProvide analysis and information on sales forecasts, new business, and budget preparationGenerate revenue that meets divisional objectivesConvincingly deliver presentations on packaging solutions and competently handle questions and objectionsDevelop an in-depth knowledge of assigned territory through a structured and consistent territory management process that results in increased sales activityAccurately and efficiently deal with all sales inquiries in a timely mannerGenerate sufficient sales leads to achieve targeted revenueGrow business with existing customersSystematically manage all contacts to better service and target the customers and prospects within the territoryEstablish an effective working relationship with customer service representatives and other key internal team membersQualificationsBachelor's degree in Business, Marketing, Sales or related field2+ years' experience in cold calling sales with strong track record of successExperience in developing and executing territory sales strategiesStrong presentation, negotiation, and closing skillsSelf-motivated and able to work independently to meet or exceed goals
