We pride ourselves on a culture of teamwork - because we are a smaller company you have opportunity to be involved in every aspect of a project and make an impact from start to finish.The WelderFitter - Level 2 is responsible for performing welding processes accurately, using drawings, specifications, and verbal instructions under general supervision and for selecting the welding procedures and materials that are best suited for the job to ensure that all work is performed in a safe manner.Specific Responsibilities:Perform a variety of welding tasks in the fabrication of parts and the repair of equipmentOperate various cutting torches, welding & automotive equipmentSet and operate metal inert gas (M.I.G.) welding machines and oxygen-acetylene torchesWeld and repair equipmentOperate precision machine tools to exacting tolerancesPerform mechanical repairs on automotive equipment as requiredRepair and perform light maintenance on buildings, grounds, andor related facilities as requiredCreate a wide variety of parts from shop drawings that conform to specifications within acceptable time framesMove and position raw materials and finished goods by use of pallet jacks andor forkliftsSupport and participate in the organization's continual improvement program to conform to ISO 9001 requirements by complying with the Quality Policy and procedures and meeting QMS objectivesOther duties as assignedRequirementsEducation and Training:High school diploma or GEDWelder qualificationForklift Operator cardTwo (2) to four (4) years of experience in weldingExperience working in an ISO 9001 environment a plusDesired Skills:Knowledge of all safety practices associated with welding, cutting and mechanical workAbility to read and understand work orders, sketches, schematics, and drawingsAbility to weld and fabricate new equipment and parts, as well as broken existing equipmentAbility to use grinders, welders, cutting torches, drill presses, pipe threaders, and other basic mechanical toolsAbility to operate a forklift and pallet jackBenefitsWe offer a competitive salary and benefits package, including medical, dental, vision, life and disability insurance, and 401(k) plans with company match.
