Job Description:

Highland Homes, a successful Florida home builder, is now hiring a Permitting Administrator! The Permitting Administrator's responsibilities include applying for permits with the respective municipalities, compiling, updating, and maintaining reports and files.The position is based at our corporate office in Lakeland, Florida, with regular hours scheduled Monday-Friday from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. Candidates must live in Central Florida or be willing to relocate to Central Florida for consideration.Responsibilities:Obtain documents from Engineering to facilitate the permit application processObtain all required approvals for permits and act as a liaison between the company and each municipalityPrepare and submit applications to various agenciesboards having jurisdiction over required permits andor approvalsPrepare check requestsCoordinate paperwork and applications with outside consultants as necessary Submit paperwork for permitsWork closely with the municipalities on the status of permits and ensure they are processed in a timely mannerEnter permitting dataPrepare start packages for Construction ManagersObtain private inspections reports needed for closingMaintain all company files relating to site plan applications, approvals, licenses, and permitsOther tasks as requestedQualifications:Minimum High School Diploma or equivalent requiredMinimum 1 year of permitting experience requiredExperience with singlemulti-family and amenity permitting preferredKnowledge of the Construction Industry preferredStrong organizational and management skills, ability to prioritize and take initiativeMust be able to read blueprints and plot plansMust be a detail-oriented team player comfortable working in a fast-paced environment with a heavy volume workloadAdvanced PC skills Microsoft Word and Excel  Excellent follow-up, communication (written and verbal), and time management skillsAble to professionally perform multiple detail-oriented tasks with simultaneous deadlinesCentral Florida resident or willingness to relocate to Central FloridaCompensation:Salary based-on qualificationsHealth, dental, and life insurance401K matchingHolidays, vacation, and paid time offSemi-annual team building events and activitiesOpportunity for advancementCover Letter: Please let us know, in addition to the experience outlined on your resume, why you will be a valuable member of the Highland Homes team.Job Type: Full-time
