Employment Requirements This opportunity is not open to C2C relationships or visa sponsorship. Job Description We are looking for an experienced Electrical Engineer to join our team. The role primarily involves designing and developing new products, particularly focusing on Printed Circuit Boards, Electrical Control Units, Wiring Harness, Switches, etc. The successful candidate will ensure adherence to established design criteria guidelines to meet customer requirements. Effective communication and management of changes, deviations, and value analysisvalue engineering (VAVE) for products with customers are essential aspects of this role. Responsibilities • Design and develop new products within established design criteria guidelines to adapt Seating Products to Customer Requirements, with a specific focus on Printed Circuit Boards, Electrical Control Units, Wiring Harness, Switches, etc. • Communicate and manage Changes, Deviations, and VAVE for Product with Customers. • Provide Design and Manage all Program Refreshes or New Programs for Product Design, Testing, and Samples to support a smooth launch with Customer. • Develop CAD generated solid models and engineering drawings in Catia V5. Provide CAD data to develop proof of principle models to verify design concepts for Heating, HeatCool, and HeatVent Systems, mechanisms, plastic, stampings, etc. • Test Designs and develop designscorrective actions for insufficient areas of design. • Procure prototype product and capital costs as required. • Coordinate the testing of existing and new products to validate FMVSS and customer requirements. • Develop and maintain the DFMEA and DVPR for Programs andor changes. • Continuously search for new processes and vendors that will enhance products, improve quality, and reduce costs for Electrical Control Units, Switches, Wiring Harness, Blowers, etc. • Apply value-added practices to current products, processes, methods, and materials to identify opportunities for costquality improvements. • Support quality and environmental systems and APQP standards in design engineering functions. • Support root cause analysis of quality issues and validate corrective actions when needed. • Coordinate cross-functional team activities between engineering and other departments. • Travel as needed to facilities, Suppliers, and Customer locations. • Maintain composure under stressful situations, communicate clearly and persuasively, and present numerical data effectively and accurately. • Respect cultural differences and promote a harassment-free environment, working with integrity and ethically following the Company's policies and procedures. • Prioritize and plan work activities efficiently, consistently arriving at work and meetings on time, and offering help when needed. • Lead others to work as a team to support projects and programs, demonstrating teamwork by collaborating with others to improve overall standards of performance and service. • Ability to work under tight timelines while managing multiple tasks and participate in projects while assuming additional tasks as assigned. • Identify and resolve problems in a timely manner, understanding root cause analysis to develop solutions to issues. • Perform other duties as assigned. Qualifications • Education andor Experience: • Bachelor's degree (B.S.) in Electrical Engineering (BSEE) from a four-year college or university; andor 2-5+ years' related experience andor training; or equivalent combination of education and experience. • Basic understanding of APQP, PPAP, and continuous improvement such as Kaizen or 6-Sigma. • Automotive or related seat design experience preferred. • Competency in CAD (Preferably Catia V5). Language Skills: • Ability to read, analyze, and interpret general business periodicals, professional journals, technical procedures, or governmental regulations. • Ability to write reports, business correspondence, and procedure manuals. • Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from managers, clients, and customers. Mathematical Skills: • Ability to work with mathematical concepts such as stress analysis, kinematics, probability and statistical inference, and fundamentals of plane and solid geometry and trigonometry. • Ability to apply concepts such as fractions, percentages, ratios, and proportions to practical situations. Computer Skills: • Knowledge of CAD (Catia V5 preferred), AX, Mapics, and Microsoft Office software (Excel, Word, PowerPoint).
