At TPD Architect, we help families live longer in homes they love.TPD Architect is currently hiring enthusiastic design professionals to join our team in Birmingham, Alabama. The residential architecture and interiors practice focuses on projects in the Birmingham area and works in all project stages, from programming and predesign to construction.Ideal candidates are excited about residential architecture, are known for strong design as well technical skills, can work independently and as part of a team through all phases of a project and enjoy designing homes where families can live and thrive.TPD believes it is important to give team members the tools and opportunities they need to be successful. Pay is competitive with life and disability insurance benefits, and the firm offers generous time off as well as flexible scheduling, and the option to take time off on alternate summer Fridays. We offer and encourage continuing education experiences, support for professional activities, and an extensive resource library. TPD Architect is looking to add an ArchitectProject Manager to our Birmingham office. Project ArchitectYou enjoy:Designing with creativity and care, researching best practices, and staying current with building products and codes.Paying attention to details, in both the design and construction phases.Solving complex design problems with attention to simplicity and cost.Working with interior designers and other consultants to create coherently designed homes that are known for their timeless qualities.You have:Minimum five years of experience in architecture, commercial or residential.Bachelors or Masters degree in Architecture from an NAAB accredited programRegistration preferred. TPD encourages professional licensing for all of its design staff.Please note, this is an in-person, on-site position with some flexible scheduling opportunities.You are known for:Significant experience with Revit software. TPD also uses Bluebeam, Asana and Microsoft Office.Your sense of accountability and responsibility: you find solutions and make sure the work is done correctly.Your understanding of wood frame construction.The ability to look ahead to upcoming work responsibilities and deadlines for multiple projects and ensure that work is done on time and within the design time budgeted.Your knowledge of and appreciation for homes of all different periods and styles.Great people skills, as we work closely with our clients and contractors.If you are interested in the position, please email your resume and cover letter to . We look forward to hearing from you.
