We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented individual to join our team as a Freight Manager. As the Freight Manager, you will play a critical role in the logistics and supply chain management process by managing the tendering process for freight services. This position requires excellent analytical skills, negotiation abilities, and a deep understanding of the freight industry.Responsibilities:Tender Management:Coordinate and manage the end-to-end process of freight tenders, ensuring timely and accurate submission of bids.Analyze freight requirements and collaborate with internal stakeholders to gather comprehensive information for tender responses.Market Analysis:Conduct thorough market analysis to identify potential carriers, negotiate rates, and assess overall market conditions.Stay abreast of industry trends, regulations, and best practices to make informed decisions during the tendering process.Negotiation:Negotiate contracts and agreements with carriers to secure favorable rates and terms while maintaining high service levels.Collaborate with carriers to optimize routes, reduce costs, and improve overall efficiency.Data Analysis:Utilize data analytics tools to evaluate historical shipping data, identify cost-saving opportunities, and make data-driven decisions.Prepare and present comprehensive reports on tender results, cost savings, and performance metrics.Relationship Management:Build and maintain strong relationships with carriers, suppliers, and internal stakeholders to ensure effective communication and collaboration.Address and resolve any issues that may arise during the tendering process or ongoing pliance:Ensure compliance with industry regulations, company policies, and ethical standards in all tendering activities.Monitor and report on carrier performance, taking corrective action when necessary.Qualifications:3-5+ years of freight tendering experience.Proven experience in freight tendering or related logistics roles.Strong analytical and negotiation skills.Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.Proficiency in data analysis tools and Microsoft Office Suite.Knowledge of freight market trends, carriers, and industry regulations.Attributes:Ability to create and manage a team of 1-2 people.Self-motivated and ability to thrive in a fast-growing environment.Detail-oriented with a high level of accuracy.Ability to work well under pressure and meet tight deadlines.Strong organizational and time management skills.Collaborative team player with a proactive approach.If you are a results-driven professional with a passion for optimizing freight operations and contributing to the success of a dynamic logistics team, we invite you to apply for the position of Freight Tenderer.
