Our team is growing, and we are proud to be a 100% employee owned company - every employee has skin in the game.Pay Range: $18 - $24Assembly Mechanics are assigned to one of the following areas:Pneumatic ShopHydraulic ShopHose ShopPower Unit ShopStrut ShopPanel ShopSpecific responsibilities:Assemble, test and service customized mechanical, hydraulic, electro-mechanicalhydraulic or electrical componentsRead and follow engineering drawings, Bills of Material, and technical specificationsManage workflow to maintain accordance with customer-required datesPerform general mechanical tasks, including basic welding, torch, grinding, painting, etcMaintain records as required (assembly routers, quality, dimensional checks, testing, etc.)Properly control, store, maintain, and secure assets (inventory, tools, machinery consumables, etc.)Fabricate and install high-pressure tubing using standard fittingsMaintain the cleanliness, orderliness, and safety of the shop areaRepair and maintain machinery and mechanical equipment within the establishment such as test stands, saws, and paint boothPerform preventive maintenance on equipment and mechanical systemsDisassemble machinery and repair or replace broken partsDismantle, test, and analyze malfunctioning equipment, hand tools, and power tools to locate defectsClean and lubricate partsMonitor the functioning of installed equipment to detect hazardsproblems and the potential need for adjustments, repairs, or replacementSupport and participate in the organization's continual improvement program to conform to ISO 9001 requirements by complying with the Quality Policy and procedures and meeting QMS objectivesOther duties as assignedRequirementsEducation and TrainingHigh school diploma or G.E.DForklift license preferredJourneyman skilled craft trainingapprenticeship certificate or combination of technical education and experience preferredFluid Power Society Certification for mechanic or technician preferredExperience:Three to five (3-5) years of experience in a manufacturing environmentWelding and spray booth painting experience (Military specifications andor ABS standards preferred)Experience working in an ISO 9001 environment a plusSkills Preferred:Knowledge of electrical processes and proceduresAssembling, testing, and servicing hydraulic componentsAbility to implement mechanical knowledge and skillsAbility to read, write, and use general math applications in order to read schematicsExcellent verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skillsAbility to troubleshoot hydraulic, mechanical, and basic electrical circuitsAbility to read, interpret and follow mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic control systems schematicsblueprintsAbility to use measuring instruments (i.e. torque wrenches, calipers, squares, scales, pressure and torque gauges, vibration sensing devices, temperature indicators, and measuring tape) to ensure componentssystems are within required tolerance and specificationsFull understanding of imperial and metric measuring systemsKnowledge of PLCs (for trouble shooting and diagnostics) preferredKnowledge of OSHA safety procedures and policies preferredBenefitsWe offer a competitive salary and benefits package, including medical, dental, vision, life and disability insurance, and 401(k) plans with company match.
