Job Description:

They are hiring a Registered Professional Land Surveyor to carry out land surveys in support of various land development projects ranging from residential subdivisions to roadway improvements and legal descriptions.The Registered Professional Land Surveyor is responsible for producing technically sound products that meet clients' requirements and expectations. This role will also interact cross-functionally with internal departments such as marketing, business development, and project management per business needs. Very high average employee tenure.Focus:Perform surveying functions, including but not limited to topography surveys, construction surveys, land development surveys, metes and bounds surveys, and land title surveys.Participate in, supervise, and quality check field survey work.Conduct public records research as it pertains to land surveys.Write and prepare easement descriptions, easement plats, and legal descriptions in connection with land surveys.Identify and resolve any technical, schedule, or financial issues that arise through collaboration with the Project Manager.Assist with cost and time estimation to prepare comprehensive engineering services municate effectively with clients regarding technical matters, as needed.Skill Set5+ years of land surveying experience.Current and active Land Surveyor License in the state of Iowa.Demonstrated experience operating computer and technical analysis equipment.Proven ability to read and interpret technical writing and engineering plans.Proficient in MS Office Suite, CAD, and other engineering automation tools.Strong communication skills (written and verbal), analytical and problem-solving skills, and technical skills.
