The Machinist will be responsible for setting up, operating, and maintaining a variety of machine tools to produce precision parts and instruments. The Machinist will also be responsible for closely monitoring the production process to ensure that specifications are met and products are produced according to our quality standards.QualificationsMetalworking Skills: Experience with lathes, mills, and grinders; Knowledge of cutting speeds, feeds, and tooling selection; Proficiency with measuring instruments such as micrometers.Attention to Detail: Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings and blueprints; Ability to perform mathematical calculations and verify dimensions of parts; Proficient with geometric tolerances and statistical process control (SPC)Problem Solving: Ability to troubleshoot problems, identify root causes, and recommend solutions.Collaboration: Ability to effectively communicate with team members, supervisors, and quality control personnel; Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and meet production schedulesAdaptability: Willingness to learn new skills and technologies; Ability to work with a variety of materials including stainless steel, aluminum, and plasticsHigh School Diploma or equivalent; Vocational or technical training in machining or related field is a plus
