Job Description:

The Social Media Marketing Coordinator is responsible for implementing social media marketing initiatives that are in alignment with the strategic objectives of the organization. Additionally, this role involves direct interaction with prospective visitors both in person and indirectly, through representation of Explore Alexandria at various conventions and marketing events. This involves active participation in the planning and development of these events. Key Responsibilities·       Develop and implement social media strategies to increase brand awareness and engagement·       Create and curate engaging content for various social media platforms·       Monitor social media channels for trends, opportunities, and consumer feedback·       Stay up-to-date with industry trends and best practices in social media marketing·       Plans and develops regular social media content and campaigns on platforms such as Facebook and Instagram.·       Maintains social media calendar and tracks marketing content deadlines, requestingcreating content for digital and print publications.·       Prepares swag bags, information packets, and other marketing materials.·       Crafts compelling written and visual content. ·       Analyzes social media campaigns and provides recommendations on social media and marketing expenditures.·       Organizes and catalogs digital media assets.·       Maintains current knowledge of social media marketing trends.·       Updates website and maximizes content for SEO. ·       Participates in trade shows, conventions, and other marketing events representing Alexandria as a tourist destination.Desired SkillsQualifications·       Experience with marketing on social media platforms (Facebook, Instagram, etc.)·       Website designSEO knowledge (WordPress, Beaver Builder, Google Analytics 4, etc.)·       Strong computer and design skills (experience with Adobe Suite, Canva, Microsoft Office, Google applications, Dropbox, etc.)·       Strong organizational and interpersonal skills·       Attention to detail ·       Professional writing skills·       Reliable transportation and auto insurance·       Ability to liftmove up to 50 lbs. Ability to sit andor stand for long periods of time
