Job Description:

The Product Development Coordinator will ensure all men, boy, and toddler product is executed to the standard of leading brands and our largest retail partnership. This person will work closely with the Product Development team as well as cross-functional teams within the business. We're seeking someone with an excellent eye for color as well as knowledge of fabric construction and dye method. The ideal candidate will also have experience communicating with overseas vendors and working under tight deadlines.Responsibilities:Receive all lab dips, strike-offs, trims, and bulk production shade bands, make comments; review with Designer andor Merchandiser for comments on color and quality where necessaryAnalyze production samples and review with Designer prior to submitting final comments andor approvals to production team.Manage the distribution of color standards & new fabric developments to agent offices domestically and internationally at the beginning of each season and as requests come inWork with Design, Merchandising, and Production teams and follow up on samples and sample fabric deliverySet up and maintain the following each season: color & fabric library, fabric approval notebooks, files for lab dips & approved bulk yardageUpdate all color changes on color palettesSend comments to Production teamManage product assortments, time & action calendars, and development processRecognize and troubleshoot issues that may cause delivery delays or liabilities then quickly communicate the details of the problem to work through solutions with leadershipAttend fittings with Design Team to keep track of style changes, art updates and graphic placementsFollow up with Production Coordinators, Designers, Sales, vendors regarding any questions that may arise regarding during the development cycleQualifications:BA in Product Development or closely related field2+ years of Product Development or relevant work experience in apparel industryAbility to work in onsite in an office environmentStrong Illustrator experiencePLM experience is a plusKnowledge of both knit and woven fabric construction and dye methodStrong organization and follow up skills with timelines and milestonesUnderstanding of garment construction with strong product knowledge and deep understanding of production processesEagerness to learn and ability to thrive in a fast-paced environmentStrong color eye and keen trend awarenessAnnual salary starting at $60,000The disclosed salary range is commensurate with experience and does not reflect the total compensation package.
