Job Description:

Hire Resolve is currently partnering with a leading company in Chandler, AZ to find a skilled individual to join the team as a Heavy Civil this role, you will be responsible for preparing civil estimates for both Public Works Projects and Private Development Projects. We are looking for a candidate with the capability to create estimates for self-performing grading, paving, wet utilities, andor concrete.Key Responsibilities:Conduct accurate quantity take-offsUtilize Heavy Bid software to set up bidsReview proposal specifications and drawings to ascertain scope of work and necessary contents for estimatesInterpret project plans and specifications proficientlyGenerate material lists for assigned bidsSolicit quotes from subcontractors and suppliers and maintain correspondenceAnalyze and input quotes in an organized mannerCompare and comprehend quotes from suppliers and subcontractors effectivelyAssist the Estimating team with various tasks related to preparing estimatesManage multiple projects and offer assistance as required with other estimating dutiesMeet all deadlines with requisite documentationParticipate in continuous estimating trainingPerform any other duties as assignedRequirementsBachelor's degree in Construction Management, Engineering, Business, or equivalent technical training andor experience3+ years of experience in estimating heavy civil projects, including grading, paving, concrete, and wet utilitiesFamiliarity with crew configurations and labor productionsProficiency in estimating techniques, cost control, subcontractor solicitation, and material specificationsUnderstanding of municipal specifications and detailsProficient computer skills, including Microsoft Office programsExperience with Heavy Bid, Hard Dollar, On-Screen Takeoff, Agtek, or similar estimating softwareKnowledge of project delivery methods such as Design-Bid-Build, Design-Bid, Construction Manager at Risk (CMAR), and Job Order Contracts (JOC)Familiarity with the Arizona heavy civil market is advantageousStrong analytical and problem-solving skillsExcellent communication skills, both written and verbalMeticulous attention to detail and a high level of accuracyExceptional organizational skillsEffective time management and prioritization abilities to meet strict deadlinesPositive attitude and a collaborative team player mindsetBenefitsOur client is offering a highly competitive salary for this role based on experienceVision Medical Dental 401(k) plan with company matchPaid Time Off Paid HolidaysDisabiity Insurance Life InsuranceHire Resolve is a top tier recruiting agency that focuses on placing skilled professionals in permanent positions.
