The Staff Accountant will operate from the Orlando office with the opportunity for hybrid position after 6 months. General Position DescriptionWe are seeking a Staff Accountant to join the Finance Team. The position reports directly to the Director of Finance and will be responsible for: ResponsibilitiesPrepare financial statements in accordance with GAAP.Analyze, reconcile and follow-up on monthly balance sheet reconciliations.Prepare monthly financial reporting packages.Participate in month and year end closings.Account for prepaid expenses and accruals, including the preparation of amortization schedules.Prepare various Corporate-requested analyses and schedules, as needed.Prepare and analyze monthly budget to actual variances for functional departments.Maintain documentation of procedures and workflow for assigned areas of responsibility.Maintain fixed asset schedules for accounting and tax purposes.Assist with maintenance and organization of accounting files.Assist with cash and indirect cost forecasting.Coordinate semi-monthly review and annual audit and respond to requests.Maintain and administer fuel card and leased vehicle programs.Prepare and file monthlyquarterly salesexcise tax returns for applicable states.Other duties as assigned.QualificationsSecurity Clearance Requirements - Must be a US Citizen.Bachelor's degree in accounting and minimum of 3 years' experience in general ledger accounting, preparing reconciliations and financial statements.Strong proficiency in Microsoft Excel.Understanding of government compliance fort working on a fast-paced team with changing priorities, including the ability to handle multiple projects, prioritize, and produce timely and high-quality dependentflexible problem-solver with the ability to adapt as the business grows.Ability to review sales and use tax requirements by state and determine and communicate applicability to CFS business in that state.High degree of attention to detail.Strong communication and interpersonal skills to interact with various levels of management and build relationships with partners throughout the business.PayBenefitsConti Federal offers great benefits.
