Job Description:

 Position: Construction Superintendent Job DescriptionThe Superintendent is responsible for directing site progress, workers' safety, and for overseeing the subcontractors and Rusk personnel to be sure they are performing per contract and schedule. Responsibilities include quality control and assurance, coordinating the various trades, accurately tracking job progress, and providing updated reports to project manager and company principals. The Superintendent is expected to carefully plan the job to keep ahead of ordering supplies and materials, needed work crew and anticipating needs or problems to present to the design team. The Superintendent will often be client facing at jobsite meetings, and will regularly work with architects, designers, and engineers. ResponsibilitiesPlan and coordinate all phases of construction from preconstruction to job completion including managing personnel, materials and supplies.Coordinate construction activities between MEP trades and architectural finishesExecute weekly work schedule to meet deadlines and budget in accordance with the contractDaily Procore reportingChange Order cost managementProvide weekly update to project manager and other principals on job status.Provide takeoffs for ordering materialAttend all site meetings and communicate with architects, engineers, and designersCreate and maintain a productive work environmentCreate and maintain safe job site conditions in accordance with OSHA and company policy.Qualifications5+ years of experience in high-end residential construction in New York CityStrong project management and communications skillsAbility to read construction documents and use ProcoreAbility to understand and troubleshoot residential MEP systemsAbility to establish benchmarks and axis lines and all related layouts for tradesFamiliarity with regulatory construction standards62 NYC SST Card carrierDOB Licensed Superintendent PreferredBenefits401(k)401(k) matchingHealth insuranceDental insuranceVisionEmployee assistance programLife insurancePaid time offRusk Renovations, Inc. is an Equal Opportunity EmployerJob Type: Full-Time, SalariedTypical Hours: M-F 8:00 - 5:00Work Location: In person
