Job Description:

Position Summary:Assists and advises on automation projects built by outside automation suppliers including conceptual design work, equipment specification, project management, factory acceptance testing, installation, and commissioningdebug.Position Responsibilities:Provide automation and process control support for operations at 247 production plants.Identify potential process improvement projects, design and develop SCADA & PLC programs to address them properly.Capable of performing work as an electrician (e.g. wiring, electrical component installation).Works with the Engineering staff to develop, evaluate, and enhance manufacturing methods.Confers with management, engineering, and other staff regarding automation and process control capabilities.Assists with developing product and process reports by collecting, analyzing, and summarizing information and trends.Works with the Maintenance Department to troubleshoot production issues.Modifies PLC programs as necessary to ensure production processes remain effective and efficient.Improves PLC programs to increase efficiency and improve process quality performance.Ensures that facility software and programs are properly backed up.Maintains product and company reputation by complying with all government regulations and safety requirements.Maintains professional and technical knowledge by attending educational workshops; reviewing professional publications; establishing personal networks; participating in professional societies. Specific Knowledge, Skills or Abilities Required:Strong electrical knowledge, including hands on experience with PLC'sHMI, robots, motion controls and associated programming softwareFamiliar with PC-based controllerinterface from windows to real time multi-tasking operating systemembedded and PLC, HMI, PID servo control, linear motor, robot controller, stepper motor controller, data acquisition, vision system, power distribution, lowhigh voltage system wiring to board level petencies:Customer Mindset: Exceptional customer experience is primary focus while performing job duties.
