Monadnock Community HospitalLead Mammography TechnicianLocation: Peterborough, NHShift Type: DaysShift Times: 7:00am -3:00pm ESTType: Permanent Annual Salary Range: $65,000-$95,000 (Dependent on Qualifications)Sign On Bonus: Possible; Discussed During InterviewThe Lead Mammography Technician performs and supervises mammography exams in accordance with ACR guidelines, manages ACR and MQSA QA testing, and maintains QC documentation. This role oversees FDA, MQSA, and state inspections, and provides daily supervision of the Mammography department, assigning tasks, giving instructions, and setting short-term priorities. Lead Mammography Tech ensures the Mammography program effectively utilizes human and technical resources to meet its objectives.Job Responsibilities (include but are not limited to)• Responsible for all QA program tasks, ensuring compliance with MQSA and federal requirements, and tracking CEUs for technologists.• Performs duties of a staff mammography technologist, ensuring high-quality images, correct identification and marking, and patient shielding.• Coordinates and organizes daily schedules to prevent delays and accommodate patients.• Maintains a patient tracking and recall system, overseeing patient notifications for additional imaging.• Assists in tracking pathology results for medical audits and outcome analysis.• Manages accreditation processes for ACR and FDA, including record keeping and inspections.• Maintains mammography-specific policies and procedures per ACR & FDA regulations.• Assists in budgeting and long-term planning for the mammography center.• Responsible for purchasing supplies for mammography.• Monitors, maintains, and documents conditions and maintenance of mammography equipment.• Assists in interviewing, hiring, and training new mammography staff.• Prepares staff schedules, assigns personnel, evaluates performance, and ensures department coverage.• Assists in annual budget preparation, supply management, and charge recovery for patient services.• Aids in marketing mammography services, addressing problems, promoting new procedures, and attending health fairs.• Establishes communication within the department and with other hospital departments.• Stays current with developments in mammography and participates in "Breast Cancer Awareness Week" initiatives.• Adheres to safety practices and maintains equipment as per hospital policies.• Uphold the values of MCH: Compassion, Collaboration, Honesty, and Respect.• Other duties as assigned.Required Skills and Experience• AART registered with advance qualifications in mammography. • Knowledgeable in standards and guidelines according to the American College of Radiology and Mammography Quality Standards Act through the Food and Drug Administration.• CPR Certification Certification and State Licensure Requirements• BLS Certification requiredBenefits Offered• Medical, Dental and Vision Insurance• Flexible Spending Accounts • Company Paid Life Insurance (2 times your annual salary)• Optional Voluntary Supplement Employee Life Insurance (you can purchase up to 3 times your annual salary)• Optional Voluntary Supplement Spouse Life Insurance (you can purchase up to $100,000 spouse life)• Optional Voluntary Supplement Child Life Insurance (you can purchase up to $10,000 child life)• Short Term Disability• Company Paid Long Term Disability• 403b Retirement Plan• Tuition reimbursement up to $4000 per fiscal year for full timeAbout the FacilityMCH is a 25-bed Critical Access Hospital offering Medical, Surgical and Intensive Care; Obstetrics; Pediatrics; and Mental Health services. healthcare, a wide variety of outpatient services are available, including Pulmonary, Cardiac and Physical Rehabilitation; 24-hour Emergency Care; a fully equipped laboratory; and an extensive Radiology department.
