We are always in search of entrepreneurial, talented, driven, and intellectually curious team members to join our team in achieving success for our clients.Role: AssociateLocation: Boston, MAWhat You'll DoAssist Capital Markets team in the origination and structuring process for debt andor equity transactions for sponsor-owned or private middle market companies across a spectrum of industriesPrepare three-statement financial models including a variety of analyses such as multiple capital structure scenarios, debt capacity analysis, covenant sensitivities, IRR calculations for existing stakeholders and investorsPerform valuation analysis using comparable transactions, public company comparison, DCF, and LBO analysesReview company information and perform credit analysis, and market research as needed throughout engagementsAssist with drafting offering memoranda for distribution to investors as well as other financial presentations detailing client and transaction-related fundamental informationResearch and compile a market map of potential investors targeted for potential transactionsManage virtual data rooms with accurate and current informationPrepare pitches for specific capital raise opportunities, capital market updates for clients as well as marketing materials for investorsSupport senior executives in business development efforts and assist in reviewing new lead opportunitiesWhat We Look For3+ years of experience in commercial credit, leveraged finance, direct lending, capital markets, or syndication experienceProficient credit underwriting experience and proven ability to support the day-to-day execution of all aspects of capital raises across multiple transaction types (asset-based lending, LBOs, recapitalizations, refinancing, add-on acquisitions and special situations)Moderate investment banking business development and engagement process execution experienceAbility to interact with clients, lenders and other investorsStrong analytical, presentation, and marketing skills; deep knowledge of Microsoft Office especially Excel and PowerPoint, ability to use CapIQ and other research sites, navigate and update G2's CRMThrives in a fast-paced environment with proven organizational and time management skills; ability to manage multiple work streams and manage up accordinglyStrict attention to detail and excellent work ethic required with an enthusiastic, proactive positive attitudeExceptional business acumen including listening, written, and oral communication skillsAn undergraduate degree with a strong academic record
