We offer a range of benefits, including a 401k plan, vacation time, and flexible work arrangements.   Position accountable for  Developing and analyzing investment strategies for the agency and non-agency Mortgage-Backed Securities portfolio.  Systematically tracking and modeling prepayment speeds, product spreads, and relative value across different agency and non-agency MBS sectors.  Conducting regular market research and analysis to inform portfolio decisions and identify investment opportunities.  Monitoring and reporting on portfolio performance, attributing P&L to specific securities and strategies.  Working closely with the risk management and financing teams to identify and manage the risks associated with the portfolio, including interest rate risk, prepayment risk, and liquidity risk.  Collaborating with Strategy & Research to collect, process and analyze data.  Developing new automated model based on predictive analytics.   Supporting the team with idea generation, execution, and settlement.   Reporting to: Senior Vice President, Investments   Job Description:  The Senior Investment Analyst is responsible for helping to ensure that the company maintains the most advanced mortgage market information collection and trading and decision making processes in the marketplace. Responsibilities include: Relationship management across counterparties, service providers, and investors will be critical.   Assisting in enhancing our data collection and use of technology tools.   Understanding and communicating the implications of financial asset moves and economic news for the company, distilling and disseminating the information across the company.   Working across teams to develop analytical tools that are scalable, often requiring programming knowledge.    Leadership Responsibilities:  Building and maintaining trust and teamwork  Assisting the research and executive teams in the preparation of board presentations, providing insightful analysis and recommendations.  Engaging with key stakeholders across different departments to understand the company-wide implications of trading.  Facilitating collaboration and knowledge-sharing among teams to drive synergy and alignment.   Qualifications Skills:  Deep interest or curiosity in investing, economics or financial markets  Track record of demonstrating Dynex's core values and attributes  Bachelor's Degree required. Concentration in Economics, Math, Finance or quantitative discipline a plus. 3+ years of experience in the mortgage-backed securities market, including agency pass-throughs, CMOs, MBS derivatives, non-agency RMBS, and Credit Risk Transfers.   Knowledge of Bloomberg, Tradeweb andor trading systems.   Experience with mortgage analytics software (Blackrock Aladdin, Intex, Riskspan, Polypaths, Bloomberg MARS Trepp, or others)  Excellent Microsoft Office Suite skills, especially Excel and PowerPoint  Some programming knowledge, including SQL, Python andor R.   Progress towards CFA designation    Location:  Richmond, VA.
