Backup Administrator Duties & Responsibilities:Exp: 6+ YearsBackup and Recovery Support: As a backup administrator, you'll provide technical expertise in backup and recovery systems. This includes managing backups for various platforms such as Windows, Linux, ESXi, and storage systems.Monitoring and Incident Management: You'll perform daily monitoring of the backup environment, identify recurring issues, and correlate incidents. Creating and providing reports related to backup and storage activities is also part of your role.Documentation: Maintain up-to-date documentation for backup environments, ensuring that procedures and processes are well-documented.Escalation Point: Be the go-to person for all backup-related issues, both locally and internationally.Technical Expertise: Develop and exhibit subject matter expertise in assigned backup and storage systems, along with associated processes.24x7 Support: Provide IT operations support on a rotation and on-call basis.Change and Incident Management: Handle change management and incident management for backup and archiving infrastructure.
