Job Description:

ADDMAN Precision, Rochester, MN is seeking a Quality Technician experienced in CMM operation to join the Quality Team. This is an exciting position that plays a key role in ensuring production parts meet customer requirements using CMM equipment and software. This person will assist in performing visual and dimension inspections to ensure that all product meets customer specifications and requirements. Responsibilities:Measure key part characteristics with CMM equipmentPerform CMM programming, setup, and analysis of both in process and finished productsWork with engineering and programming teams to troubleshoot partsPerform first piece production inspection and provide feedback Train others on CMM operation Check and verify machined component dimensions using measuring devices to blueprintsCommunicate effectively with machinist, operators, and management to maintain acceptable quality standardsMaintain and generate all required quality documentation including inspection and discrepancy reportsPerform other miscellaneous duties as assigned or requestedRequirements:2 year technical degree andor 2 years shop floor machining2 years shop Floor machining and or 6 months Quality Inspection in machine shop environmentAble to operate a CMM with minimal supervision. Preferred experience with PC DMIS CMM softwareComputer skills Innovation thinker, a self-starter, and solid problem-solving skills Knowledge of GD&T and general blueprint interpretationSet up inspection process, choose appropriate tools, and inspect parts with no supervisionDocument findings and develop planning for jobs Instruct other in appropriate methods
