AKA Hotels+Hotel Residences is seeking a talented Director of Finance-Florida for both of our Florida properties. This position will sit at our Miami property and requires travel to West Palm 1x per month. SUMMARY Manages and directs the financial activities of the Florida Hotels, manages Cash Flow, safeguards the Assets and Liabilities, prepares all Financial Reports in accordance with Generally Accepted Accounting Principles and AKA Policies. Serves as a Financial Advisor to Hotel Management and Ownership.ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following. Other duties may be assigned.Monitors and approves all Revenues, Purchases, Payments, Salaries and Expenses of the hotel. Reviews Financial Data of Operations and all Balance Sheet accounts. Advices Management of any potential Opportunities andor Exposures in order to maintain a good and efficient overall Hotel Operation. Review and approves all GL Journal Entries that pertain to the completion of the monthly Financial Statements and the subsequent Report of Operations. Review and approves all Asset and Liability Reconciliations including Bank Accounts, Inventory, Subsidiary Ledgers Ect. to ascertain that all items are current. Manages Daily and monthly Cash Flow requirements in order to prioritize payment priorities. Prepares all Monthly Forecasts and Cash Flow projections as well as Budgets as required (Annual, Revised Annual, Monthly, andor on CorporateOwner's requests). Schedule and coordinate the preparation and presentation of the annual operating budget. CoordinateControl all aspects of the capital expenditures budget, including completing ROI Analysis. Oversees all contracts and legal agreements, and assists Management in maintaining all licenses, permits, insurance and contracts. Hires, trains and supervises Finance staff including coaching, counseling and discipline. Establishes and audits all internal financial controls, including purchasing, cash handling and disbursements, inventories, Hotel equipment, master keys, and personnel time records. Complete financial required reports and requests from AKA Corporate offices. Other duties as assigned by the VP of Florida and CFO.
