Our client is seeking an experienced InstrumentControl Engineer to work in Overland Park, KS.Primary ResponsibilitiesAccountabilities:Our Gas, Fuels & ChemicalsBusiness provides services from consulting, design, full engineering, procurement, and construction (EPC) and commissioningstart-up of Client facilities, Floating Client facilities, gas processing and NGL fractionation, gasification gas to liquids, hydrogen, and ammoniafertilizers. The value chain spans natural gas and natural gas liquids, midstream, wholesale markets, power generation, and utility segments.The Senior Instrumentation & Controls (I&C) Engineer functions as a technical specialist or in a supervisory role, supporting the Gas, Fuels & Chemicals solutions. Independently develops and applies advanced engineering techniques, concepts, and approaches to unique engineering problems. May supervise engineering staff on projects of medium to high complexity or serve as a technical specialist providing knowledge and expertise.Qualifications:11+ years of experience in gas, fuels, and chemicals field.7+ years of experience in engineering and design or operations of Liquefied Natural Gas. Additional experience with fertilizers (ureaammonia) floating Client (FLNG) offshore oil & gas projects will be a plus.Experience interfacing with and leading large teams of engineering and design professionals in US-domestic and foreign offices to develop I&C engineering and design deliverables.Experience closely working with multi-disciplinary teams including Process, Mechanical, Electrical, Piping, Civil, and Marine engineers.Significant experience designing, procuring, configuring, and troubleshooting various process control systems (DCSSISF&GHIPPSPLCSCADA).Significant experience selecting, sizing, specifying, and procuring various field instruments such as controlrelief valves, flow, level, pressure, temperature, analyzers, and other specialty measurement systems.Experience participating in HAZOPLOPA and resolving resulting action items.Working knowledge of SmartPlant Instrumentation and MS Office tools.Advanced knowledge of engineering design principles and applicable design guides and standards related to assigned engineering disciplines.Preferred:There will be up to 20% travel.A PE is not required but will be preferred.Certifications: Candidates with a Professional Engineering (PE) license or the ability to acquire PE license within 6 months from hire will be preferred.
