We are a technology leader in numerous areas including technology insertion; acoustic sensors; signal processing; combat systems; torpedoes; cyber security; knowledge management; and electronic warfare.Mid-levelSenior Electrical EngineerDuties and Tasks:Analyze and design analog and digital electronic circuits including signal conditioning, power, analog-to-digital conversion, and communicationIntegrate, test, troubleshoot, and verify electrical hardwareDevelop test criteria and assist in the design of test systems including test software applicationsPerform component and architecture trade studies to determine optimal system solutionsDesign, analyze, and test underwater acoustic systemsDesign and build prototype cable assembliesPerform solder rework of prototype circuit card assembliesDevelop technical presentations, recommendations, and written communications to explain technical issues to program management and the Navy customerGenerate design and interface documentation Experience with the engineering development life cycle, including concept, requirements, design, implementation and test phasesKnowledge, Skills and Abilities:Working knowledge of common communication interfaces such as Ethernet, RS-485, USB, CAN bus, LVDS, and protocols such as TCP and UDPExperience in analog and digital circuit design including signal integrity principlesProficiency in all phases of PCB design, including: creation of high-level functional and architectural diagrams, SPICE analysis, power analysis, component selection, schematic entry (OrCAD Capture experience a plus), and working with the PCB layout team to optimize placement, signal integrity, fitment, etc.Strong documentation and communication skillsExperience with MATLAB programming a plusRequires a Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, or a related Science, Engineering or Mathematics field. Also requires 5+ years of job-related experience, or a Master's degree plus 3 years of job-related experience.CLEARANCE REQUIREMENTS: Department of Defense Secret security clearance is preferred at time of hire, but must be obtainable within a reasonable period of time as determined by program requirements. Applicants selected will be subject to a U.S. Government security investigation and must meet eligibility requirements for access to classified information.
