Job Description:

We are conducting a search for a Warehouse Manager for our client, a consumer products company based in Nassau County, NY. You will be responsible for all aspects of a 30,000 square foot facility, including PICK AND PACK, B2B, managing receiving, shipping, warehousing, and distribution operations. The business is SKU intensive and B2B and PICK AND PACK is required. The ideal candidate will be a hands-on, sophisticated, "lead by example" professional who will willingly roll up their sleeves when necessary while exhibiting a significant work ethic. Experience effectively leading a warehouse team, working collaboratively, conversant in WMS systems, and true leadership qualities are essential. Decision-making ability, problem solving, and excellent communication skills are mandatory.The salary range for this role is approximately 100-125k.Responsibilities:Control inventory levels by conducting physical counts; reconciling with data storage systemEnsure product is stored and recorded in proper locations for order processMaintain inventory of and order all production suppliesManage a team of 30 - 40; review and lead while holding accountableMaintain warehouse staff by recruiting, selecting, orienting, and training employeesMotivate, organize, and encourage teamwork within the workforce to ensure productivity targets are met or exceededContribute to team effort by accomplishing related results as neededNegotiate rates with common carrier representatives, international shipping companies, and production supply companiesSupervise and schedule production line for optimal outputCoordinate and determine delivery of all inbound freight between warehousesManage transfer of product between warehouses based on order requirementWork with Sales & Import Dept. to ensure on time customer shippingMaintain knowledge of customer routing guides for customer shipping requirementsOversee Customer Service, Order Process, and Billing departmentsContinually adapt warehouse layout to ensure efficient space utilization of FacilitiesBuilding MaintenanceReview and approve all Operational Invoices for paymentLearn and continually re-educate on ever-changing Vendor Shipping RequirementsWork with Accounting Department to dispute Chargebacks due to alleged discrepancies in Vendor Shipping GuidelinesRequired Qualifications:Minimum of 7 years as a Warehouse ManagerExpertise in warehouse management procedures and best practicesExperience with Pick and PackExperience with Business 2 BusinessPrevious experience with WMS softwarePrevious experience with EDI and UPC bar codesProven ability to implement process improvement initiativesStrong decision making and problem-solving skillsExcellent interpersonal communication, leadershipMust be a good team playerComputer experience, ideally with Microsoft productsMust be very flexible with shift start times as well as days worked, including weekends & holidayKnowledge of the legal requirements of operating a warehouseBilingual in Spanish is a plus"‹"‹"‹"‹"‹"‹"‹If you meet the required qualifications and are interested in this role, please apply today.
