Job Description:

Summary:The Soldering Technician is responsible for performing soldering operations in the assembly and repair of electronic components and products. This role requires precision and attention to detail to ensure high-quality standards and functionality of electronic systems. The ideal candidate will have experience in soldering with a strong understanding of electronic components and assembly processes.Key Responsibilities:Perform hand soldering and rework of electronic components including through-hole, SMT (Surface Mount Technology), and fine-pitch components.Read and interpret assembly instructions, production orders, and follow verbal instructions regarding duties to be performed.Perform quality inspections on work performed, ensuring all products meet the required specifications and quality standards.Troubleshoot and repair defective boards or assemblies, identifying faults and implementing corrective actions.Maintain a clean and organized work area to ensure a safe and efficient environment.Adhere to all company policies, safety standards, and good housekeeping practices.Operate and maintain soldering equipment and other machinery used in the production process.Collaborate with other team members and departments to improve production processes and product quality.Keep accurate records of work performed, materials used, and associated production activities.Stay current with soldering techniques and industry standards by attending workshops, training sessions, and reviewing relevant publications.Qualifications:High school diploma or equivalent; technical or vocational training in electronics is preferred.Proven experience as a soldering technician or similar role in an electronics manufacturing environment.Proficiency in soldering techniques and understanding of electronic components and circuitry.Ability to read and interpret technical documents such as assembly instructions, schematics, and blueprints.Excellent manual dexterity and hand-eye coordination.Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality.Good communication and teamwork skills.Ability to stand for extended periods and lift up to 25 pounds.Familiarity with IPC-A-610 standards is a plus.RIVANNA Medical offers the following employee benefits: health insurance, vision and dental, group life, long-term disability, paid time off, 401(k) with match, and more.
