StevenDouglas has been exclusively retained to find a Controller for a well-known Country Club in Palm Beach County. This is an excellent opportunity to join an established Country Club that is very stable and has gone through consistent growth. This role will be replacing the current Controller who is retiring, and this person will have the ability to work with the existing Controller for multiple close-cycles to ensure a smooth transition. The role will also have the potential to grow in responsibilitiesscope, and there is a great career path for further growth individually!!This opportunity offers a great WorkLife Balance, and be part of an organization that historically has very little turnover!Responsibilities Include: Oversee the monthyear-end close process and prepare financial statements for multiple entities within the Country Club Prepare annual budgets and coordinate with department heads Proper recording of inter-company transactions and timely reconciliation and issuance of related payments.Ensure systems are properly and efficiently designed, setup, implemented, and tested to support required accounting functions.Handles coordination of all financial related audits with external auditorsHires, develops, and retains the best talent through competency-based hiring and selection, career development, and motivational strategies.Requirements:Bachelor's Degree in Accounting andor Business Administration Minimum of 10+ hears of experience in Finance & AccountingPrior experience working at a Country Club highly preferredPrevious management experience overseeing a department required
