Job Description:

Responsibilities- Develop and implement safety policies and procedures to ensure compliance with local, state, and federal regulations- Conduct regular safety inspections and audits to identify potential hazards and recommend corrective actions- Investigate accidents, incidents, and near misses to determine root causes and develop strategies for prevention- Prepare detailed reports on safety performance, including incident rates, trends, and recommendations for improvement- Collaborate with management and employees to promote a culture of safety awareness and accountability- Provide training and education on safety topics, including hazard recognition, emergency response, and personal protective equipment- Stay up-to-date on industry best practices and regulatory changes related to workplace safety- Safety Manager needs experience in dredging, concrete work, demolition, blasting, and excavations- Experience in building structures and similar projects upwards of $40 millionQualificationsBachelor's degree in Occupational Health and Safety, Environmental Science, or a related field- Proven experience in safety management or a similar role- Knowledge of local, state, and federal safety regulations- Strong analytical skills with the ability to conduct root cause analysis- Excellent written and verbal communication skills for report writing and presenting findings- Detail-oriented with strong organizational skills to manage multiple tasks and deadlines- Ability to work independently as well as collaboratively with cross-functional teams
