BAYADA Home Health Care is seeking an experienced and strategic Revenue Cycle Leader to lead our reimbursement operations for our pediatric and adult private duty nursing (PDN) homecare services. This position will be responsible for the billing and accounts receivable management for a multi-statemulti-site operations ensuring effective reimbursement outcomes, optimized billing procedures and ensuring accuracy and compliance with industry, federal, state and payor regulations. The ideal candidate will have a strong acumen in healthcare revenue cycle management and specialized experience with Medicaid and Managed Medicaid pediatric billing and accounts receivables. This is a critical leadership role requiring exceptional skills with strategic planning, communication, analytics, technical innovation and team development. This role requires both performance and purpose-driven mindset. This position is expected to operate within a hybrid schedule, both on-site and remote, within our Pennsauken NJ Campus.Primary Responsibilities:Responsible for the overall administration and performance of a reimbursement team, both internally and externally, ensuring effective and consistent reimbursement opportunities occur for our skilled nursing practices.Directs and supervises the activities of thirty (30) to thirty-five (35) employees and is directly responsible for the overall direction, coordination and evaluation of these employees. Carries out managerial responsibilities in accordance with the company's policies and applicable laws.Responsibilities include interviewing, hiring and training employees; planning, assigning and directing work; appraising performance; rewarding and disciplining employees; addressing complaints and resolving problems.Responsible for the development of a well-qualified subordinate staff to support the department's function.Manage the reimbursement personnel and BAYADA's external RCM resource vendors, ensuring appropriate staffing levels based on business needs; ensure staff and 3rd party vendors are meeting quality of work and productivity goals; ensure accurate and timely reporting of key performance indicators.Establish long term and short-term operational plans for revenue cycle operations that address financial performance, customer service, information technology, human capital and regulatory requirements; collaborate with other departments to optimize revenue cycle operations.Monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) related to billing, collections, and accounts receivable. Analyze reimbursement data and payor performance to identify trends, address revenue leakage, and optimize reimbursement.Establish oversight and review of revenue cycle systems to identify process and quality improvements using new functionality and new technology to transform the way revenue cycle departments operate; lead efforts to streamline and simplify the financial clearance, billing, denial management, cash application, financial counseling and refund processes.Partner with operations and other key stakeholders to drive shared revenue cycle improvement initiatives that continually reduce days in accounts receivable, increase cash collections, reduce bad debt write-offs, and minimize denials and write-offs due to revenue cycle process issues.Develop and maintain relationships with payers, vendors, and external partners.Monitor revenue cycle operations for compliance with established policies, regulations, procedures, and standards.Establish, update andor enforce policy and procedure to ensure adherence to best practices, standardization, regulation and efficiencies. Stay informed about industry trends and changes in reimbursement policies.Qualifications:Bachelor's degree in Healthcare Administration, Business, or related fieldMinimum of 10 years of progressive experience in revenue cycle managementStrong knowledge of Medicaid and Managed Medicaid regulation across multiple states.Demonstrated excellent leadership skills, including the ability to motivate and develop a high-performing novative, technical and proficient in revenue cycle softwareExceptional communication skills, both written and verbal.Strategic thinker with an analytical focus on process improvement and revenue optimization.Working knowledge of healthcare billing, collections and accounts receivable management.
