Sr. Electrical Engineer Location: Somerville (Boston Metro)Hybrid Employees: Industry: Motor Vehicle TechnologyReports To: Engineering ManagerSoftwareRobotics Company accelerating the arrival of self-driving vehicles, targeting safe and reliable navigation. Looking for a Sr. Electrical Engineer with experience in the automotive, radar, or high-reliability and high-volume manufacturing industry. This is a key role in driving the development and design of the electronics for radar systems. Most Important Responsibilities:Development and commercialization of high-reliability electronics in the automotive radar, or other safety-focused industries.Extensive knowledge of electrical design principles, understanding the technical trade-offs, limitations, and practicality of assorted designs.Knowledge-driven and curious to push the boundaries of what is possible.Lead electronic development for our radar systems, including concept architecture, simulation, component selection and library generation, schematic capture, layout implementation, board bring-up.Oversee layout resources, reviewing implementation and optimizing for signal integrity.Troubleshoot and debug electronics and electromechanical systems in prototyping lab.Support development of sensor by deriving electrical product requirements.Lead DVP and testing in-house with external resources. What you can bring to the table to impact this role, team, and organization:Bachelor's degree in electrical engineering or related field5+ years of experience in a relevant fieldPCB design, simulation, and implementation experienceExperience with electronics lab equipment; oscilloscope, function generators, network analyzers, spectrum analyzers, etc.PCB bring up and testing experience, including troubleshooting issues and board-level rework.RFRadar Design experiencePower electronics design experience, such as switching converters and LDO regulators.Experience with digital electronics design with microprocessors and FPGAs, and their peripherals, including memory and ethernet physical interfaces.Working knowledge of digital communication protocols; CAN, SPI, I2CUnderstanding of layout best practices to optimize signal integrity.Working knowledge of Altium design flows, and PCBA fabrication and assembly processes Bonus ExperienceSkills:Master's degree in electrical engineering or related fieldAutomotive industry, or equivalent high-volume, high-reliability industry experience developing products.FPGA development with VHDL or VerilogScripting with Python or MATLABLayout experience on RF PCBAs having 12+ layers.Experience designing for EMCEMU pensation: 150K
