SummaryThe Portfolio Brand Manager will be responsible for ensuring that the company's brands and product lines resonate with current and potential customers. In addition, they will monitor marketing trends and evaluate opportunities and competition within the marketplace. The Brand Manager serves as the point-person for developing, implementing, and executing marketing initiatives and activities. These initiatives and activities include campaigns (print, web, social media, broadcast, etc.), events, and sponsorships. This person will work directly with the Director of Brand Marketing to ensure that all Brands within the portfolio are successful and perform within the markets. This person will also collaborate and work cross functionally with multiple teams such as creative, copywriting, wholesale, retail, and new product development.Primary ResponsibilitiesHelp shape and communicate the Company and Brand's vision & mission. Develop custom, unique, and disruptive marketing and advertising strategies. Create and manage monthly brand marketing calendars. Present monthly calendars to leadership to receive approvals. Work with New Product Development Teams to understand new products entering the market. Work with Director of Brand Marketing to develop go to market strategies and campaigns to support new products. Ensure that brands and products have the proper assets to support sales. Collaborate with creative & copywriting teams to create assets that will support brands and products, while motivating the target audience to act. Assets can include, but are not limited to: In Store Signage, Shelf Talkers, InformationEducation, Billboards, Special Event Items Work with Dir. of Brand Marketing and Sr. Dir. of Creative Services to manage photo, video and media content needs for brands and products. Assist in managing Social Media Team(s) and Pages. Assist in managing Press Relations Team and press opportunities. Assist in managing Brand Partnerships. Manage brand swag needs - sourcing, ordering, distributing, etc. Collaborate with Dir. of Brand Marketing and VP of Cultivation to make strain campaign selections that fit the needs of brands. Create brand and product decks to educate retail and wholesale teams. Measure and report performance of marketing campaigns, assess ROI & KPI's. Help manage brand's advertising and promotional budgets. Coach and develop an Associate Brand Manager with key projects and deliverable to prepare for future People Management roles.Other duties as assignedEducation & Experience RequirementsOur ideal candidate brings 2-3 years of brand management, trade marketing, andor innovation experience within the cannabis industry. In addition, our ideal candidate has a demonstrated track record of leading projects from strategy to execution to evaluation and is a highly motivated, self-starter that can work in a fast-paced environment. Bachelor's degree. 5+ years of business experience; CPG experience is a plus. 3+ years of experience working in the cannabis industry; marketing, product or cultivation experience is a plus. Storyteller who can communicate to others in a compelling and engaging manner. Strategic thinker who can come up with creative solutions to complex problems. Excellent verbal and written communication skills. Passion for innovation and finding new ways to grow. Experience partnering with internal stakeholders to drive complex, cross-functional projects. Comfortable with ambiguity and able to effectively prioritize and pivot in a fast-paced environment. Strong product acumen and cannabis knowledge. Exceptional organization and project management skills and strong attention to detail.Physical Requirements: Must be able to lift and carry up to 50 pounds. Lifting, standing, sitting, walking, bending, reaching, pushpull, repetitive use of hands, grasping use of hands, visual activity. Travel as needed.
