Continental Underwriters, Inc. is looking for a Casualty Underwriter!Job Summary:This Casualty Underwriter will use a disciplined approach to underwrite complex wood products' risks and verify acceptability based on company risk appetite and authority. By utilizing various underwriting tools, you will be responsible for determining accurate classifications, rates, and premium charges. It will be your responsibility to apply underwriting rules and guidelines and comply with insurance laws and regulations, as well as drive internal reporting and portfolio management responsibilities. The Casualty Underwriter will enjoy the success of growing a profitable book of renewal and new business. You will work with our other internal underwriting teams to jointly develop positive & trusting relationships with our carrier and broker partners.Our ideal candidate for this position is ready to utilize their knowledge of casualty underwriting to establish, develop and grow our company's book of business.
