Role: Senior L3 AV TechnicianStart Date: ASAPDuration: 6 Months (Extension possible)Location: Houston, TXNumber of Positions: 2Our client is a global leader in video collaboration and Commercial AV. The Level Senior AV Technician will be an AV industry expert with experience leading and directing technicians (internal or subcontracted) on large and complex projects. The L3 Senior AV Technician would be responsible for validating systems, and reporting progress to Project manager to ensure projects achieve time, scope, budget, quality, safety, and customer satisfaction requirements.Responsibilities:Perform installation tasks as noted in the project's Scope of Works (SOW)Read and interpret electronic schematics and architectural blueprintsSupport the Project Manager with site supervision of the install team, communication of daily job site status, and completion of required job documentationAct as customer liaison on site per project scope and directives. Direct on-site change request to Project Manager for confirmation and final directionCommunicate and coordinate with other trades on-siteUse hand and power tools for various system installation related task including soldering, and termination of connectors including but not limited to XLR, RJ45, fiber-optic, and coaxial.Fabricate AV Rack as per elevation drawing with professional cable managementWork with manufacturers to initiate return material authorization as neededTest point-to-point cabling, functionality of systems, and code for control and DSP systems.Support and Engineer or Programmer with minor programming changes to DSPs or room processorsConfigure IP addressable devices to establish communication on networkCreate, track, and complete a project punch listWrite and edit code for DSP systems - Biamp, Qsys, Shure, plete preventative maintenance checks, diagnosis, and necessary repairProvide client training as neededRequirements:Ability to effectively communicate with technicians, customers, and colleagues.Ability to use hand and power tools in a safe and efficient mannerAbility to work and think independently and ensure meeting deadlinesMature personality with the ability to work both on own initiative and in a team environmentExcellent organizational skills with the ability to prioritize an often conflicting workloadAdvance PC proficiencyProven business writing skillsAbility to diagnose complex system problemsKnowledge of advance signal flow for audio, video, and controlAdvance understanding of IP networkingAbility to lead site teams on large, complex projectsAbility to perform site surveysMinor control system programming changes and troubleshooting capabilitiesKnowledge and use of specific test equipment for required applicationsKnowledge and application of industry installation safety codes and standardsIndustry-specific and manufacturer trainingcertifications to meet internal skillability requirementsValid Driver's LicenseMinimum of a High School Diploma or equivalentAbility to regularly climb and work from ladders up to heights of 35 feetMinimum of 6 to 8 years of installation experience in the audio-visual, electronics or related industry required.Valid and current CTS Certification requiredPreferred:Formal education in Audio Visual, Electronics or related fields preferredOSHA CertifiedConfirmed Project Site Lead Role experienceAbility to obtain formal approved clearances (Government or system-specific) may be requiredExperience with Enterprise VC solutions (Zoom, Microsoft Teams, Google Meet, Bluejeans, Cisco Telepresence, etc.) both hardware and softwareAVIXA CTS-I preferredAll candidates should be vaccinated (Covid)
