Job Title: Lead Manufacturing EngineerReports to: Engineering ManagerFLSA Status: EXEMPTSchedule: Monday through Friday (7:00 am - 4:00 pm; overtime as needed) 45 Hours Week General Description: Responsibilities Duties Functions Tasks: Ability to read blueprints Working closely with Quality to interpret design specifications. Select and Build tools Set-Up machinery Code new and modify existing G & M code and monitor the run. Macro programming experience is a plus. Help train new operators and work with experienced operators to maintain quality and production standards Generate improvement ideas and work as a team with management and other Setup Engineers to implement them Review tooling performance and make improvements to increase life and part quality Review SPC data with Quality and Production management and make improvement decisions based on dataQualifications:3-5 years setup experience on CNC MillsSolid G & M coding skillsSelf-directed and motivatedStrong ethics to work with management and peers as a teamProven programming experience on Fanuc controlsAbility to read and understand blueprints including understanding of Geometric tolerancingAbility to work in a fast past environment.Must be open to working overtime.Must be able to communicatereadwrite in English.High School Diploma or GEDPerform typical machine shop operations.Abilities that are preferred but not required o  Experience with Mori Seki CNC controls o  Ability to program, run, and maintain Fanuc robots o  Able to program and run Zoller tool pre-setter machine o  Knowledge of TS 16995 or ISO 9000 procedures and guidelines Physical Requirements:Bending, stooping, reaching, twisting, lifting, pushing, pulling and moving itemsResponding to public address system announcementsWalking and standingLifting fifty (50) pounds or moreMust wear required Personal Protective Equipment Environmental Job Requirements:Due to forklifts and other heavy equipment traveling through the shop, temporary cracks may appear in the floor, causing an uneven walking surfaceThe shop environment can be dusty and noisyDoor are frequently open, causing drafts and interior temperature changesFloors around work area may become slippery during wet weather conditions, or liquids such as coolants and oils from the machineryMay have to handle parts with sharp edgesPassing forklifts emit gas fumesTools, supplies, and related materials may contain hazardous materialsMay have to occasionally work outdoors where temperatures and climate can fluctuate
